This event will launch the edited Volume, 'Transitioning to Sustainable Cities and Communities’, focusing on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG11, featuring scholarly articles and interviews from leading experts working in architecture, urban design, planning, and landscape architecture. Contributions address the challenges and opportunities prompted by the the SDG11, and by extension, the climate crisis. The volume showcases a range of novel research, new spatial planning perspectives, and innovative design approaches that are contributing to making cities more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable today. The book was co-edited by Hubert Klumpner, Klearjos Eduardo Papanicolaou, and Georgeen Theodore, and published by MDPI Publishers.
The launch will take place on Thursday 14 November in the Design in Dialogue (DiD) Lab, ONA, featuring a discussion with contributors and respondents, followed by an Apero.
