Klumpner Chair and ISTP PhD student David Kretzer investigate in his study the lighting quality created by high-mast luminaires in informal settlements. Such lighting can be found, for example, in South Africa and Kenya. Kretzer shows that those luminaires are not able to create adequate consistent lighting conditions in common forms of informal settlements.
