Paper presentation @10th Annual International Conference on Urban Studies & Planning (Athens, GR)
Klumpner Chair and ISTP PhD candidates Michael Walczak and David M. Kretzer are invited to present their paper “The Impact of Vertical Densification on Public Lighting in Informal Settlements: Using Virtual Environments as Evaluation Tool for Policy-Making” on 2 June 2020 at the 10th Annual International Conference on Urban Studies & Planning in Athens. This study focuses on two main questions: First, it will be analysed by computer calculations how different lighting parameters change under varying building heights and street widths. Second, it will be discussed what benefits a Virtual Environment offers for informal settlement lighting planning and policy-making.
