3D Modelling
Together with innovative filmmaking methods, the Chair experiments with 3D Modelling in the 'ACTION! On the Real City' Elective Course series, prompting students work with software including the Unreal Engine, After Effects, and Cinema 4D, among others. Students are taught to embed video footage into 3D environments, and vice versa, to embed 3D elements into video footage, creating hybrid short Documentary / 3D films.
Further to this, 3D Modelling takes place within Klumpner Chair research, working particularly with VR methods in terms of policy-making, as well as in Studio teaching and Project Design (as with the stairs of our BAQ - Fábrica de Cultura project, which were designed using a digital algorithm with a 3D component).
