Hannah Szechenyi
Hannah Szechenyi is an architect and researcher focusing on the intersection of urban development, architecture, and the artistic and visual representation of information. She earned her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Innsbruck (2022), where her thesis explored the visual communication of sustainable and interdisciplinary environmental issues. Her work emphasizes the integration of sustainability and social responsibility into architectural projects, highlighting the transformative potential of community involvement in public spaces.
She is the recipient of the Curator in Residence Fellowship Sarajevo 2024, awarded by the Department of Culture of the Tyrolean Provincial Government and the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA). During the residency, she investigated whether architecture requires social acceptance to create identity.
From 2019 to 2022, she worked as a Student Assistant at ./studio3 – Institute for Experimental Architecture under Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Kathrin Aste, where she contributed to teaching, exhibitions and publications.
Hannah is a Scientific Research Assistant for the Urban Transformation Project Sarajevo (UTPS) at the Chair since 2025.
