Victoria Desponds
Victoria Desponds is an architect whose work bridges urban-scale design with digital twin technologies. She earned her Master of Science in Architecture from ETH Zürich in 2018 and subsequently contributed to innovative urban projects in Bolivia and Switzerland. Her expertise lies in using GIS and digital twin simulations to create advanced visualizations that empower informed urban planning decisions.
In 2023, she further expanded her technical skills by obtaining a Certificate of Advanced Studies at ETH Zürich in Natural Hazard Risk Management. This specialization, focused on sponge city strategies to counteract heavy rainfall and overheating, has refined her approach to designing resilient and adaptive urban infrastructures.
Since August 2024, Victoria has been a research assistant on the Urban Transformation Project Sarajevo (UTPS). In this capacity, she develops digital twin models, enhances her programming and geospatial analysis skills, and implements online participatory processes through web-based platforms—collectively contributing to the creation of comprehensive and visually engaging urban simulations for sustainable city development.
